HA! So Scott and I spent this past weekend trying to organize the house (i.e. going through all of our stuff and cleaning it out) and Scott decided it was laundry time. Scott and I usually each do out own laundry, but Scott was being thoughtful and decided to wash my clothes too. When he went to unload the washer I heard an “Uh oh.“
…and then he held up my favorite oversized wool sweater.
Aw man. Now it’s a REALLY cute felted kid sweater. Oh well. You should have seen Scott’s expression. It was priceless and I couldn’t help but laugh.
The whole “felting” thing reminded me that I’ve been wanting to knit a felted bag. I found some fun patterns at Tink Knits. I really like the Barcelona Bag and the Silver Leaf Sachel. Maybe it’s because you don’t really see bags like that everywhere. Someday I’ll get the wool for it, but right now it’s a little too painful to think about spending that much money on yarn. Maybe I’ll make a felted hat first.
…and if anyone has a little girl that might like a really dense, soft, wool sweater – let me know.
But despite the cat stories, we’d like to think that we might be somewhat interesting and that people might want to check up on us every now and then!
